For this you have to visit the official website of UIDAI and download the Aadhar Card Correction Form. After filling the form the form can be submitted by post to the addresses which are given in the form. Also you can send the duly filled application online and the supporting documents which are required you can send it through post. The Aadhar Correction Form can be used by the residents for correction requests through post. It may be noted that providing your registered Mobile Number is compulsory to correct the data fields. Aadhar Correction form contains following sections which are to be filled by the resident. The first section is fields for Update/Correction. In this section you have to choose the field which you would like to update or correct. And the fields are Name, Gender, Date Of Birth in dd /mm/yyyy format, Address and Email ID.Here you can choose one filed or more than one filed as per your requirements. The next section is Aadhar number and here you have to fill your 12 digit Aadhar Number.The Next Section contains fields which are to be filled in English as well as your Local Language that appear in your Aadhar letter. These fields are Name of the Resident, Gender(You can choose from Male, female or Transgender),Date Of Birth, Address or C/o details here you can choose from C/o,D/o,S/o,W/o, H/o,Name of the Gaurdian/Parent or Spouse, Name of the House/Building or Apartment, Name of the Street/Road/Lane, Name of the Landmark, Name of the Area/Locality/Sector, Name of the Village/Town/City,Name of the District,PostOffice,State,PinCode,Mobile Number(It is Compulsory to enter the MobileNumber),EmailID(It is Optional and if you want to enter you can enter your email id).Next comes the Document Details Section where you have to write the names of the documents you are attaching.You can refer to Annexure1 of the form to see the list of valid documents.Here you have four spaces to fill and they are 1.POI(For Name Correction)2.PoI(For Name Change) 3.DOB(For change of Date Of Birth) 4.POA(For Change in Address).
Now after all hese fields have been filled correctly you have to put your signature in the form or Thumb Impression stating that the information you have provided is accurate and true.

Some rules have to be followed while filling the Aadhar Correction Form.The form must be duly filled only in capital letters only.Entire form should be filled not only the fields which are required for Updation/Correction.Providing your Registered Mobile Number is must for any corrections or updations to take place. The form can be sent only through post.The Form should be filled duly in English and also in local language that was used in the Aadhar letter as well as at the time of the Enrolment.The Form should be filled only with current details and not with old or invalid details.Full names should not have any salutations such as Mr/Dr/Col etc.You have to make sure that the Complete Address is entered since the updated Aadhar letter will be sent to that particular address.When you are self attesting the attached supporting documents,the resident’s name should be clearly mentioned below the signatures or thumb impressions.You have to provide only the documents that support the update or correction should be provided.If you enter any incorrect information in the form it will lead to the rejection of the application.Also you have to clearly mention AADHAR UPDATE/CORRECTION on the postal cover.So,residents must not think that the mistakes cannot be corrected and they have to apply for new Aadhar Card.The Government of India had made provisions that will allow the person to change the required details whenever they wishes to.
